A dense wildflower meadow built from cut and layered paper over painted ground — cerulean blue florets on tall stems, cadmium yellow and coral blooms, raw umber and mauve throughout. The vertical rhythm is insistent; the meadow presses upward against the picture plane. The interlocking shapes, the refusal of wasted space — quilting discipline made visible in paint.
