I work into the unknown with each layer — beeswax, damar resin, pigment, and the torch — and here the wax found rain: white streaks running down through cool grey-blue, the surface itself becoming weather. The lower field settles into something quieter, a horizon forming where motion meets stillness. I am always adding new layers, yet also reaching down to excavate — and sometimes a fresh start is exactly what rises to the surface. Encaustic on wood panel · 12 × 12 in · 2026
