Open a research file

Bring us a piece. We'll tell you what you have.

A research file is a conversation that begins with a single image. The first response comes within two to three business days, from a named gallery contact, with a clear sense of which tier the work calls for and what comes next.

Three tiers, by what the work asks for.

The classification follows the question. Each file is priced for the work itself.

Documented
A quick read.

For living artists with a public market record. Image-anchored, sourced comparables, indicated market range. Inside the week.

Researched
A working file.

For works with an established market. Multi-angle registry, condition assessment, signed file with cryptographic anchor. Inside two weeks.

Investigated
Where the trail is harder.

Archival research, period-specific consultation, contested or partial attribution. Timing scoped at intake.

The intake

Tell us about the piece.

As much as you know is fine. Where the trail goes thin, that's exactly where the research begins. A single image is enough to start.

About you

So the gallery has a named human to write back to.

About the piece

Anything missing is fine. The research fills in.

Images

A single front-on image is enough to start. Multiple angles, signature, verso, condition details all help.

Up to 10 images, max 8 MB each. JPG, PNG, HEIC accepted.

What you'd like to know

Tell the gallery what the question actually is. The answer the work calls for changes accordingly.

A paragraph is fine. Specifics help. The more direct the question, the more direct the answer.
If unsure, leave blank. The gallery reads the piece and recommends.

Two to three business days for the first response, from a named gallery contact, with a clear next step. The conversation begins there.

A research file is a working file. It follows the work as long as the work exists.
