November Sky
Near-monochrome, grey-brown settling to pale cream at the foot, ten inches square, with no horizon line. The light gathers low but never warms — the only work of hers without a warm passage anywhere. November in this region is exactly this colour for weeks at a time and the painting does not apologise for it.
