Storm off Shore
Blue-grey cloud masses stack toward the upper left with pink light breaking underneath, and below them the sea is worked in short horizontal strokes with visible whitecaps — the only picture in Juvonen's weather group where the water is given real surface. A small canvas taking on a large subject, and the choice to detail the waves rather than the cloud is what distinguishes it.
