Twin Djinn
Two figures wrestle or dance inside a heavy black outline that loops around them like a keyhole, over a ground of scarlet, viridian and blue worked in broken mottled patches. The line is confident and unbroken — drawn in one pass — while everything behind it is atmospheric and torn. Square format, ten inches, and the smallest of Fisher's ancient-world pieces. The two djinn are hard to separate from each other, which is presumably the point of twins.
