Urban Essence
Three by four feet: a city block seen at street level, shopfronts and windows and awnings compressed into a dense field of faceted colour. Borcherding was featured in Plein Air Magazine for urban plein air painting, and this is what she brings back from a city — not a view but a density, with no single building allowed to lead.
