Brian Fisher — Mixed Media and the Pacific Northwest

Brian Fisher is represented by JG Art Gallery on Bainbridge Island. He works primarily in mixed media on paper and acrylic on canvas — a practice grounded in the Pacific Northwest landscape, its coastal birds, forests, and light.

The mixed media work involves layering: acrylic paint with textured pattern application, paper collage, drawing. The results are dense without being heavy — each piece holds a lot of material decision-making without making that visible as effort. Fisher also has work in woodcut print, though the majority of his practice is mixed media.

His titles run toward the specific — place names, natural subjects, individual observations — rather than the atmospheric. That specificity carries through into the work itself.

Fisher's work is available at the gallery. Current inventory includes over fifty pieces. Inquire directly for available works and pricing.
